The article explores musical creativity in everyday contexts, moving away from specialized musical settings. It focuses on laypeople's involvement in music through the use of creative technologies and processes in their daily lives. Based on ubiquitous music (ubimus) and aiming at the inclusion of laypeople in creative activities, the paper discusses everyday musical creativity, its theoretical and methodological foundations, along with practical applications, including a case study with the SoundSphere prototype. The findings highlight variability in participant evaluations of originality and relevance of creative products. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for methodological adjustments to better understand everyday musical creativity, pointing to future research directions in this emerging field.
